Daintree stories.

Cloé Oui, a 10 years old Daintree girl
wrote and illustrated this story at the start of the
2004/05 wet season.
Cloé Oui, Daintree story teller

Frogville, an original story by 10 years old Cloé Oui. Cloe captures the feeling of being marooned in a place like Daintree in the wet season.

Frogville or should we say 'Daintree' in the wet.

That Cloé Oui's delightful story about Frogville should find it's way onto a commercial web site about Daintree information may puzzle you. Well, Cloé is a very dear family friend, the story is beautifully written and her story captures the very essence of being caught in Daintree during prolonged rain. The day that I wrote this was Friday the 21st of January 2005 and our rain gauge registered 169.5 mm (7 inches) of rain in the previous 24 hours, see link.  The "Wet Season" occurs in our summer and in recent times (14 years or so) it has started in mid January and goes on until late March/early April when about 2 metres of rain will probably fall. A further metre will fall during the other eight and a half months.
