Do not confuse with Pinnacle Village which is also a caravan park on the beach at Wonga but 2 kms further north.

Beach front camping in the Daintree Valley. We are between the Esplanade and the Coral Sea.

The caravan park features an amenity block, campers kitchen, laundry and happy hour from 5pm.

[It is just a short stroll to a restaurant, bottle shop, convenience store, swimming pool and resort bar which makes visitors welcome.]
It is sad but true, the Daintree Palms is no more, it was demolished in early 2008 and there has been little activity there since then.
Back out on the highway is a well stocked Caltex Roadhouse with ATM and, toward Daintree, is a wildlife nature park.
Tariff:
$111.50 per week or $19 per day for a powered site or $104.50 per week or $17.50 per day for an un-powered site.
Wonga Beach Caravan Park entrance.

Wonga Beach Caravan Park is one of those best kept secrets and is one of the last absolute beach front caravan parks in Australia. You hear of the beautiful stretches of deserted tropical beaches, well this is it. The recent re-make of the movie "South Pacific" was filmed here using Wonga Beach as the back drop.

There are lots of interesting things to do in the Daintree Valley. See: 101 things to do in Daintree > which has a special feature about Wonga Beach.
