Whilst
not having the retail outlets of the big centres,
Daintree Shopping has it's own charm with good old
fashioned service. Daintree shops include a timber
and insect museum, a Victoriana display (by
appointment) as well as the normal shops. Shopping
at Daintree you can buy information books, nature
sound recordings, field guide books for
birdwatching, wildlife DVD's and the cutest of
rainforest gnomes made in the village. The Daintree
Village Markets have opened for the 2013 tourist
season. The markets are located under cover behind
the Big Barra.
